Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is a certified golf nut. Not only has the Welsh national played in and won international competitions on the links, he has gone so far as to commission the building of three famous replica holes in his backyard — the Postage Stamp from Royal Troon, the 17th from TPC Sawgrass and the 12th from Augusta National (reports say the 11th hole, but no one’s putting that monster in their backyard).
With that being said, it should come as no surprise that one of the best soccer players on the planet who also happens to be a keen golfer has mixed and matched the two sports into a Tiger Woods-esque commercial circa 1999.
Pretty impressive stuff from Bale.
