Luckily for Jordan Spieth, he’s a great golfer. The same adjectives can’t be used to describe his spelling.
Spieth, with help from his sponsors at At&T, hooked up with Scripps National Spelling Bee champion Jairam Hathwar in match of “spelling and sport.” Tasked with spelling a word correctly or moving farther from the hole, the World No. 3 spelled exactly zero words correctly and was forced to try to hole a 20-footer while Jairam had a tap in.
The whole thing was reminiscent of the reading scene from Big Daddy.
