Friendly wagers between golfers are nothing new, but wagers between world-renowned golf course are on a totally different level. That’s the magnitude of the Ryder Cup.
Last week, the Twitter accounts of St. Andrews Links (@TheHomeOfGolf) and Pinehurst Resort (@PinehurstResort) placed a friendly bet on the outcome of this year’s Ryder Cup with the loser having to fly the other’s flag on the 18th hole.

The outcome was a 17-11 victory in favor of the U.S. Yesterday, St. Andrews made good on the wager and it was a sight to see. Golf’s the best!
