Despite more than 15 hours spent in a delay, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans ended up being one of the best weeks of Brian Stuard’s life. The PGA Tour journeyman played 54 holes bogey-free to earn his first win on Tour, edging Byeong-hun An and Jamie Lovemark out in a playoff.

Stuard put on a putting clinic in New Orleans. Piggybacking off of a 21-putt first round, Stuard went on to lead the field in both strokes gained: putting (+8.547) and putts per green in regulation (1.588).
What’s even more impressive is the fact that Stuard picked the putter up last week at the Valero Texas Open out of a demo pile and has only had the flatstick in his bag for seven competitive rounds.
