On a long par-70 course, Walkers wedge game kicked in in the clutch. He ranked second in the field in strokes gained: around the green and was 2/3 in sand saves for the week, including his hole-out from the greenside bunker on the 10th hole on Sunday. The shot that clinched the championship, however, was a little flip wedge on the 17th hole, which set up a birdie putt that would give him a three-shot cushion heading to 18.
