Two Retired Cops Take Down Suspect On Golf Course

Some days on the golf course are better than others. Tell that to this suspect who drove a stolen vehicle straight into a pond and then was apprehended by two retired cops.

The surreal scene occurred at Miles Square Golf Course located in Fountain Valley, California.

KCAL 9 has the report:

The two retired officers — one formerly with the LAPD, the other formerly with the Santa Monica Police Department — were out for a round at Miles Square Golf Course around 12 p.m. when they saw the suspect drive across the course in a Jeep Cherokee. They immediately dropped their clubs to help chase him down.

The suspect — accused of car theft — drove the SUV across the 15th fairway, onto the 15th green and then into a water hazard. (The pursuit began on surface streets, but ventured onto the course after the suspect plowed through a fence).

After the suspect exited the flooded SUV, he was promptly taken to the ground by the retired officers, who awaited the arrival of the authorities.

Chances are this thug will be receiving more than just a two-stroke penalty.
