The wildlife at the Rio Olympic golf course has been well documented throughout this year’s games. What else do you expect when you build one in the middle of a rainforest natural preserve.
While both the men’s and women’s events went off seemingly without a hitch, some of the most intense drama occurred just outside the ropes. Take this snake encounter for example.
At times, it was like watching a mix of golf and show on the Discovery Channel. Some viewers either enjoyed it or were thoroughly confused:
Two Olympic events at once: women’s golf and snake catching. The snake rampaging through the gallery has finally been caught. #OlympicGolf

Watching people try to catch a snake on the golf course in rio and for a second there I was like “omg snake catching is an Olympic sport???”

These snake-catchers should be the ones standing on the podium.
