Back9 Ambassador: Cheyenne Woods

Born and raised in Phoenix Arizona, Cheyenne Woods was introduced to golf by her Grandfather, Earl Woods.  She began to play in the LPGA Girls Golf Club at age 7.  She was a two-time Arizona 5A State High School Champion while attending Xavier College Preparatory.

Cheyenne attended Wake Forest University where she was a two-time All-American and a three-time All-ACC honoree. She won two tournaments, including the 2011 ACC Championship and holds the school’s lowest career scoring average.

Since graduating in 2012 with a degree in Communications, Cheyenne has been very busy.  Playing her rookie year on the Ladies European Tour in 2013, she played in 11 tournaments, making 8 cuts and three top 20 finishes.  She shot her career low round of 64 during the first round of the Open de Espana.

Between traveling to 13 different countries to compete as a professional golfer, Cheyenne was also on the other side of the ropes working as a Back9Network correspondent and ambassador.  She attended and reported from her first PGA Merchandise Show and her first Masters tournament.

Cheyenne wrapped up the 2013 golf season at the final stage of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament where she finished outside of qualifying for the LPGA Tour but is excited to compete on the Symetra Tour in 2014 and continue working with the Back9Network.
