Morgan Pressel lost her mother to breast cancer when she was just 15 years old. Since then, raising money to fight the disease has been a cause near and dear to her heart and one she’s approached head-on since turning pro.
On Monday, Pressel was chosen to receive the Golf Writers Association of America’s Charlie Bartlett Award, which is given to a player who contributes to the betterment of society through charitable giving.
Thx to the GWAA for this honor! And thx to @standrewsboca and all our generous supporters for making this possible! http://t.co/oDHOl9aDr2

In the last seven years alone, Pressel has helped raise more than $4 million.
“I am truly humbled to be selected to receive the Bartlett Award this year,” Pressel said in a press release. “To know that I will be joining an amazing group of individuals who have received this award before me is a great honor.”
Pressel will receive the award on April 8th in Augusta.
