Paige Spiranac has gone about things a little backwards. The internet-famous San Diego State alumna stumbled into Instagram fame before her budding professional golf career was able to take shape. While her notoriety and name-recognition landed Spiranac an invite to the Dubai Ladies Masters earlier this year, her game wasn’t up to snuff.
With a few more months of range sessions and fewer photo sessions, Spiranac again got the opportunity to tee it up on the Ladies European Tour, this time at the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open. Playing at Dundonald Links in Ayrshire, Spiranac shot rounds of 76-75 to make the cut on the number.

Spiranac shot a final-round 74, 2-over par to finish in a tie for 58th place, beating, among others, Solheim Cup captain Carin Koch. Her finish netted her just over $1,700 and a boatload of confidence.
