If you’ve got the next Tiger Woods or Stacy Lewis sitting in your home, and they’re still young enough to only be a few years removed from potty-training, you’ve got just two days left to submit a video of your wunderkind for the 2014 Best Pee Wee Golf Swing in the World contest.
The entry period began Oct. 31, 2013, and concludes Wednesday, with judging of the videos to take place from Jan. 16-20. If you want to see what your kid is up against, check out last year’s winner from the 3-4-year-old age group, who submitted this video for 2014:
Rules for the contest can be found on the website for Little Linksters, a nonprofit organization with a mission of introducing the game of golf to all children from ages 3-8. There are four age groups for the competition – 3 & under, 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8 – and the winners will be announced at the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show, which runs from Jan. 22-24, in Orlando, Fla.
To each victor goes a full set of U.S. Kids Golf clubs; exemption and entry fee into the 2014 Future Champions Golf International tournament; a Golfer’s Footprint swing trainer; MoRodz alignment sticks; Swingfix online lessons; a Star Putter training aid; and much more.
Suffice it to say some of the kids’ swings will look nicer than the “practice strokes” taking place on Back9Network’s golf simulator. Just look at a compilation of videos submitted for Little Linksters’ 2013 contest:
