Ladies and gentlemen …
HOLE-IN-ONE ON NO. 17!!#QuickHits https://t.co/uqJnHknXN1
— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) May 13, 2016
Hitting a hole-in-one is a rare enough feat, but to do it on one of the the most famous par-3s in the world in competition is a whole other level. Wilcox’s ace was the first in competition at the Players Championship since Miguel Angel Jimenez holed out 14 years ago in 2002.
What’s more important than the ace is Wilcox’s score. He was hovering around the cut line on Friday before jumping to the safe side of the number with the hole-in-one.
All in all, a good Friday.
