SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that golf instructor, author, and inventor Don Peterson, has launched the Swing Factory Golf app in partnership with SwingU Academies.
Peterson is one of the most accomplished and experienced teachers in the world. He has taught more than 100,000 people and was voted a top-50 instructor in the U.S. three times by Golf Range Magazine. His long list of students includes comedian Jeff Foxworthy, NFL legend Brett Favre, PGA & Champions Tour golfer Tim Simpson, and 2004 Open Championship winner Todd Hamilton.
Peterson’s best-selling book, “The Baseball Golf Swing Method,” details a unique and effective method that helps students use their baseball skills for better golf. Teaming with SwingU, Peterson will have an app that can deliver a better online golf training experience. “I invented the Golfer’s Template, The Golfer’s Tee Box, and the Miyagi For Golf Training System for golfers who want to learn online and in the comfort of their own home,” says Peterson.
The Swing Factory Golf app will provide students an engaging, academy-like experience with a forum where students and academy instructors can share video, stories, and everything golf. Additional features include a student swing locker for capturing & saving swings and an on-demand library of drills & lessons. Peterson will initially invite new students to schedule a live online interview while the student and teacher share a swing analysis screen. When the Swing Factory Golf app is integrated with SwingU’s top-rated GPS & scorecard app, Peterson will be able to analyze students’ rounds, stats and on-the-course performance.
Peterson teaches out of The Swing Factory Golf Performance Studio in Roswell, Georgia. He travels the country teaching students, including many active and former professional athletes and celebrities.
