SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that Michael Cestone, of Cestone Golf Academy in Tampa, Florida, has launched the Cestone Golf Academy app in partnership with SwingU Academies.
Michael Cestone opened Cestone Golf Academy in 2010 with the goal of providing golfers of all abilities the necessary lessons and coaching to achieve their goals. A PGA Member with certifications in TrackMan, USGTF, WGCA, Callaway Club Fitting, SCOR Golf club fitting (now Ben Hogan) and Golf Genius Tournament Software, Cestone has extensive knowledge working with junior golfers, having coached his sons to over 30 wins on various junior golf tours. Cestone’s students have competed on a variety of premier tours, including the AJGA, Florida Junior Tour, PGA Junior Tour, junior amateur qualifiers, junior state tournaments, USGA tournaments, U.S. Kids and First Tee of Tampa Bay tournaments. He continues to help junior golfers pursue their dreams of playing high school golf, college golf and beyond.
The Cestone Golf Academy app will provide students with an engaging, academy-like experience, including a content forum where both students and Cestone Golf Academy-certified instructors will share video, stories and interact on everything in golf; a student swing locker for filming & saving swings; a VOD library of drills & lessons; and 1-on-1 streamlined personal communication and lesson booking directly from the app. Due to the integration of SwingU’s top-rated GPS & scorecard app, instructors at Cestone Golf Academy will be able to immediately analyze students’ rounds, stats and on-the-course performance when students use SwingU on the course.
