SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that functional golf fitness and training expert, Gary Gray, has joined the company’s Master Faculty.
Gray is the founder and CEO of Gray Institute, the world’s foremost authority in functional training and rehabilitation. A respected physical therapist, trainer, educator, author, coach and inventor, Gray educates and certifies professionals that treat and train pro and collegiate athletes. Gray also is the recipient of the prestigious 2002 John Maley Award, which recognizes an individual for innovation in physical therapy.
“I’m honored to be a part of the SwingU Master Faculty,” said Gray. “I’ve spent my career educating professional trainers and therapists, so I’m excited for this new opportunity to engage directly with SwingU’s large, engaged golfer audience and help them better understand their body movements and how they affect the golf swing.”
Gray has treated & trained the best professional athletes in the world, including, but not limited to Mario Lemieux, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Kirk Cousins, Jason Day, Paul Casey, Jesper Parnevik, Bernhard Langer, as well as collegiate teams, pro teams, and the military (U.S. Navy Seals).
“Gary and I have become friends over the past few years, and it’s awesome to have him join our team of talented world-class instructors,” said Charles Cox, CEO of SwingU. “Gary has God-given talents in both communication and motivation, so I’m excited for our audience to learn how functional, integrated movements can help their golf games and make fitness and training a lot more fun.”
