SwingU Congratulates Ambassador Castren, Academies Client Mayson On LPGA Victory

SwingU, the golf technology and media company, would like to congratulate SwingU Versus ambassador Matilda Castren and her instructor, SwingU Academies client Chris Mayson, on Castren’s victory at Sunday’s LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship.

Castren, who uses the SwingU app to track her strokes gained statistics, fired a final-round 7-under par 65 to come from two strokes behind to win her first LPGA Tour event in just her 15th career start. Castren became the first Finnish player to ever win on the LPGA Tour.

Castren works with Mayson, the Director of Instruction at Maderas Golf Club in San Diego. Chris has been recognized by Golf Digest as a Best Young Teacher in America and as a Best Teacher in California. Castren is the most recent of his students to win on one of the top golf tours in the world.

More than 40 Tour player ambassadors across the LPGA Tour, LPGA Symetra Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, MacKenzie Tour and PGA Tour Latin America use the SwingU app for strokes gained statistics and analysis.

SwingU is the world’s easiest-to-use and most intuitive strokes gained statistics experience, allowing for both professional and amatuer players to figure out how they stack up against their respective target handicap golfer.
