Prior to receiving the honor this year, Mark has been recognized by several authorities as one of the top golf instructors in the world. He was the Alabama NW Florida Section PGA Teacher of The Year in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2015 and a finalist for the National PGA Teacher & Coach of the Year in 2010-2014 and 2016.
Mark has been a staple on Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Teachers list as well as Golf Digest’s 50 Best Teachers in America. Among the many PGA Tour players Mark has taught are Chez Reavie, Kevin Chappell, Charley Hoffman, Mike Weir and Heath Slocum.
Mark founded Blackburn Golf in 2000, and continues to work with golfers of all levels, focusing on each student’s unique movement patterns to develop an efficient and repeatable technique for their desired ball flight. His Blackburn Golf Academy develops and coaches juniors, club golfers, elite amateurs, college and professional clients from around the world.
