SwingU, the sports technology and media company, would like to congratulate SwingU Collegiate Ambassador, Cameron Sisk, on his playoff victory at the Maridoe Invitational this week.
Sisk bested a field that included some of the top individuals and teams in the country. He shot rounds of 70-66-73 to tie Texas Tech’s Baard Skogen for medalist honors, winning the individual title with a par on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff.
Sisk began using SwingU to track his stats during the offseason and saw it prove immediate dividends as he topped the field at Maridoe. The win was Sisk’s third of his career and first as a SwingU Ambassador.
The Sun Devil senior’s elite ball-striking set him apart from the field over three rounds, picking up more than 14 strokes vs. par, according to SwingU’s integrated strokes gained platform. A good week putting saw Sisk pick up 7 strokes on the greens and another 2.5 off the tee vs. par, which was more than enough to make up for a mediocre week chipping and pitching.

Winning the prestigious event also earned Sisk an invitation into the PGA Tour’s Houston Open in November, a perk Sisk found hard to put into words following his victory.
“Who knows if you’re ever going to play in a PGA Tour event, but to secure that, to be able to play in one at least and hopefully many more, man, that’s freaking awesome,” Sisk said.
Sisk’s was the first win of the Fall 2021 season for SwingU Ambassadors.
Over the 2021 season, more than 100 active tour and top-tier collegiate golfers are using the platform to track their strokes gained and game-improvement data.
