SwingU, the sports technology and media company, would like to congratulate SwingU Ambassador Jamie Wilson for winning the 2022 GPro Tour’s Harbor Classic.
Wilson, a University of South Carolina alum, started using the SwingU App and its proprietary strokes gained and stat tracking system in August 2021. Earlier this month, Wilson shot rounds of 69-68-66 at The Club at Savannah Harbor to win by one stroke to capture his first professional victory.
“I use SwingU’s Course Maps as a guide whenever I play a new course for a tournament,” Wilson said. “I go into the practice round and use it to find certain yardages to trouble, to corners of doglegs and see the best way to play each hole.
“I used (strokes gained) last fall and saw how much I needed to work on bunker play. It helped me to improve a lot. I am excited to continue to use the strokes gained feature to find weaknesses in certain areas.”
Wilson has played six events on the 2022-23 GPro Tour schedule, making the cut in five of them and posting top-12 finishes in four events highlighted by the victory in Savannah.
As it stands, Wilson currently sits atop the GPro Tour’s EMPACT CUP Player of the Year Standings as well as the Tour money list with over $21,000 earned over the past four months.
Since the start of 2021, more than 100 active professional and top-tier collegiate golfers are using the SwingU App and performance data platform to track their strokes gained and game-improvement data.
