SwingU, the golf technology and media company, announced today that short game specialist and SwingU Master Faculty member Stan Utley has launched the Stan Utley Golf instruction & training app through SwingU Academies.
Utley is believed by many industry experts to be the best short game instructor in the world. His list of current and former students on the PGA, Web.com, Champions and LPGA Tours includes Jay Haas, Sergio Garcia, Joaquin Neiman, Scott Langley, Kevin Streelman and Bill Haas. Utley also has written four instructional books – The Art of the Swing, The Art of Putting, The Art of the Short Game and The Art of Scoring.
For $49 per month or $399 per year, Utley’s app will provide students with an engaging, academy-like experience, including a content forum where both students and Stan will share video, stories and interact on everything in golf; a student swing locker for filming, saving and categorizing swings; and an ever-growing on-demand library of drills & lessons. Students also will be eligible for contests and giveaways throughout the year.
Ranked #25 on Golf Digest’s 2017-18 “50 Best Teachers in America” list, Utley began his career as a successful tour player. Utley initially turned pro in 1984 and won the 1989 Chattanooga Classic on the PGA Tour. He holds the PGA Tour record for fewest putts in nine holes, with six at the 2002 Air Canada Championship. Utley also competed on the Web.com Tour, earning three victories – the 1993 NIKE Cleveland Open, the 1995 NIKE Louisiana Open and NIKE Miami Valley Open.
