One summer day, a golfer decided to go to his favorite course on the spur of the moment. His wife, who knew nothing about golf, wanted to go with him to get some sun and ride in the cart.
He obliged.
On the first hole, a 174-yard par-3, the golfer hit a perfect 7-iron. Tracking to the pin, the ball hit the green and rolled six inches from the hole.
Walking up to the green, the man’s wife looked at him and said matter-of-factly, “You missed.”
