Given the sheer amount of press that golf’s best players have to deal with, they’ve undoubtedly heard it all from those tasked with interviewing them. Knowing that guys have had a few months off and most likely haven’t been pestered by too much nonsense, the European Tour took advantage of some top players’ goodwill prior to the start of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.
With Chris Wood and Nicolas Colsaerts — as well as an assist from Martin Kaymer —at the control station, an intrepid young reporter from Mirage Sports Media, a made-up news network, terrorized the likes of Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, Henrik Stenson, Kiradech Aphibarnrat and Thomas Bjorn.
The result was straight downright hilarious. The amazing part is that most of these guys probably have dealt with worse.
