If imitation is truly the sincerest form of flattery, Phil Mickelson should consider himself flattered, and Dave Pelz should consider himself lucky. Mickelson’s famous flop shot over the short game guru has become the stuff of legend in golf circles, so naturally a few other people have attempted the stunt with less than ideal results.
Case in point: Facundo Delapenna, an Argentine golfer who plays collegiately at Lindenwood University-Belleville. While Delapenna is obviously a good player, there are some things you shouldn’t let any golfer try, regardless of skill level, as Delapenna’s teammate, Miquel Romera Marco found out the painful way.
