The appointment of Padraig Harrington to the post of 2020 European Ryder Cup captain wasn’t earth-shattering in its newsworthiness — he was the front-runner for the position — but the official nature of the announcement ignited another biennial cycle surrounding the most exciting event in golf.
European players offered their congratulations to their new leader, but a few interesting reactions came out of Harrington’s homeland of Ireland — more accurately, from the genius mind of Conor Moore, the Irish comedian and impressionist.
Moore donned a handful of outfits and wigs to react to the news as Harrington himself, Rory McIlroy, Ian Poulter, Francesco Molinari, Tommy Fleetwood and even Captain America Europe (?) Patrick Reed.
The next #RyderCup isn’t for another two years, but there’s already one player lobbying @padraig_h for a captain’s pick.

As always, Moore nails his impressions and the personal quirks of his muses, but the addition of Reed to the mix adds in a whole new level of comedy. We’re looking to see more from Moore in the New Year.
