Brooks Koepka has somehow only won five times on the PGA Tour with three of those wins being major championships. His fifth victory, which came this past weekend at the CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges featured a $1.71 million winner’s check.
Ironically, the biggest payday of the young 2018-19 season to date was Koepka’s smallest winning check in his last four wins. The only winner’s paycheck Koepka has cashed that was less than this week’s in Korea was his maiden PGA Tour victory at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
While the CJ Cup didn’t quite offer World Golf Championship money to those at the bottom of the leaderboard, all 78 players who teed it up got a little something for the effort.
