Putting contests in bars involving professional golfers don’t ordinarily happen unless you’re in New Orleans and Andrew Johnston happens to be at the same watering hole you’re at. As it turns out, the PGA Tour is in the Big Easy this week for their exciting new team event at the Zurich Classic and the man known as Beef was soaking in some local flavor at The Bulldog Uptown prior to the first round.
Conveniently, he brought his putter with him, set up a pint glass for a hole, and challenged folks to a putt-off for a round on the house. Sure enough, somebody drained the putt and Beef made good on his word buying everybody in the bar a drink.
This seems like a good opportunity to remind you of the time Beef broke down his six stages of drinking and also gave out free lessons in a London pub. Oh, yeah. This also happened:
