Andrew “Beef” Johnston rarely goes a round of golf on the European or PGA Tours without making a few fans laugh. One of the most affable guys in professional golf, Beef didn’t disappoint on Friday at the Nordea Masters when faced with an uncomfortable situation on the risk-reward par-4 12th hole at the Hills Golf and Sports Club.
Beef’s 3-wood drive barely cleared the water hazard that fronted the green only to see the ball trickle back into the edges of the water. Opting to play the shot, Johnston blasted his ball over the back of the green, but his outfit was a little worse for the wear after the explosion shot from the water.
Naturally, needing to change his wardrobe, Beef put on a show, much to the Swedish crowd’s pleasure.
In his waterproofs, Beef chipped on and made the putt en route to a 2-under par 68 that safely got him into the weekend.
