With the first major championship of the 2019 season just six weeks away, one Las Vegas bettor has put his money where his mouth is when it comes to believing Tiger Woods will be leaving Augusta National with his fifth green jacket.
Currently at 12/1 in most sports books, a resort guest at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook bet $10,000 to win $120,000 that Woods would win the Masters.
SuperBook oddsmaker Jeff Sherman tweeted out the news on Thursday that the book had taken its single largest bet on Woods to win the first major of the year.
just took 10k on @TigerWoods to win 2019 Masters at 12/1

The bet didn’t move Woods’ odds, Sherman told GolfChannel.com, which hold steady at 12/1 alongside the likes of Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy. Dustin Johnson is the current odds-on favorite to win at 10/1.
Sherman also divulged that more money has been bet on Woods than any other player since the lines opened in August.
Tiger brings a good record at the Masters into Augusta this year. Aside from having won the event four times, he finished T6 or better from 2006-2011. He notched a T4 in 2013, but has only played in two renewals since, a T17 in 2015 and a T32 last year.
Woods has finished inside the top-6 in both of his most recent major championship starts — a T6 at last year’s Open Championship and a solo second at the PGA Championship.
Through three starts so far in 2019, Woods has finished inside the top-20 in all of them.
