Henderson Snaps Wedge Over Bag

Emotions run high in major championships and on Sunday at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Brooke Henderson showed what can happen to an offending piece of equipment when things are going poorly.

Coming off of a third-round finish that saw the Canadian drop two shots over the final five holes, Henderson was only three shots off of the lead at the beginning of Sunday’s final round. However, three bogeys in her first six holes moved Henderson well off the pace and by the par-5 11th hole, the 2016 Women’s PGA Champ took out her frustration on one of her wedges.

Henderson would go on to shoot a 2-over par 74 on Sunday to fall into a tie for sixth place with Charley Hull four shots shy of what turned out to be a three-person playoff won by Sung Hyun Park on the second playoff hole.
