Danny Lee has sneakily become one of the funniest guys on the PGA Tour. The South Korean-born New Zealander is entering his fifth year on the PGA Tour, and he has a reputation for pranking and playing jokes on his fellow pros.
Lee and Rickie Fowler have an ongoing prank war that has spanned years, but Lee picked out a bigger, even more popular mark this past week at the CareerBuilder Challenge: Phil Mickelson.
Lefty was making his first start of 2017 in the California desert, and along with the fanfare that he brings by simply showing up, Phil debuted a new logo that depicts his silhouette jumping after winning his first Masters in 2004. Playing alongside Mickelson in the final round, Lee took the opportunity to needle the five-time major winner after knocking in a short eagle putt on the par-5 16th hole.

The silhouette was also spotted on different signage around the course with Mickelson being the tournament’s ambassador. However, it wasn’t until the opening round that many realized there might be something more to the new logo.
During his post-round press conference, Mickelson acknowledged there was indeed something in the works regarding the logo.
“We’ve been working on something that we’ll be involved with last in the year that I’m not really ready to talk about,” Mickelson said, “but it’s just been a fun offseason, in that, although I’ve had surgeries, I’ve been able to spend time with my family and kind of plan for some things in the future and it’s been really an exciting time.”
