The European Tour is in Australia this week for their revolutionary new ISPS Handa World Super 6 event, which features a hybrid format of a stroke and match-play event. But that’s not the only thing that’s different. It also features kangaroos! During the first round, play was halted briefly when a small herd of kangaroos hopped across the fairway at Perth’s Lake Karrinyup Country Club. This obviously isn’t the first time Kangaroos invaded a golf course in the land down under…only in Australia!
While the kangaroos may have added some entertainment, it’s the actual golf tournament that has everyone buzzing. After all, it is a brand new format, but it seems like it’s been received quite well.
By the way… this weeks #WS6Perth is awesome… great job by the @EuropeanTour … never seen a Saturday with so many emotions

I thought that was a big hit.
Great format … best Saturday of a regular @EuropeanTour event I can remember for a long time. #WS6Perth— Richard Kaufman (@KaufmanRichard) February 18, 2017
