Henrik Stenson has gotten the better of Ian Poulter over the past few months as their “prank war” has been decidedly one-sided.
While the two Europeans have assumedly been having fun at one another’s expense for years, Stenson has taken to recording the acts and posting them to social media over the past few months.
The public back-and-forth began at the final European Tour event of the 2020 season, the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Playing in the group just ahead of Poulter, Stenson was able to secure the car keys to Poulter’s courtesy car, which made for a fun voyeuristic film session for Stenson after the round.

Then a few weeks later, again in Dubai, this time at the start of the 2021 season for the Dubai Desert Classic, Stenson struck again, intercepting Poulter’s laundry.

Fast-forward a few more weeks to this past weekend when Stenson went on a family vacation and left his car at Poulter’s house for safe-keeping — a veritable lay-up for the Englishman.

Messing with a Ferrari isn’t exactly the most relatable prank, but Stenson took it in stride and even seemed to enjoy it somewhat. The Swede did warn that Poulter holding the advantage will be short-lived.
