For the second consecutive day, a tour pro hit a shank at the Dubai Desert Classic and this one was a dandy. Yesterday, Darren Clarke let one fly and today, prior to play being called for high winds, Ian Poulter just about missed the club face on the par-3 7th hole. The ball sailed wayward to the right leaving him with a tough up and in.
Being the pro that he is, he took it in stride on social media:

And then tried to put a positive spin on the fact he didn’t hit one shank, but two:
Pure 16 holes today. some progress… But 18 holes count. 2 lovely shanks led to 2 double bogeys. Real shame. Work in progress. Love a shank
