Sometimes golf deals out some bad breaks and the only thing you can do is laugh it off.
That’s exactly what happened to Ian Poulter on Friday at the Turkish Airlines Open. Playing the par-4 fifth hole at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort, Poulter flagged his second shot, which looked for all the world to be a great approach until it caromed off of the flagstick and raced some 100 feet back off the green and into a water hazard.
Bloody good shot sir.. Oh Lovely, Simply Lovely..
it’s ok, Got plenty in the tank for the weekend… ????????????
Worse, how could it be worse.. ???? https://t.co/toqN0llRYj— Ian Poulter (@IanJamesPoulter) November 3, 2017
Poulter would go on to bogey the hole, but he was able to get a little redemption later on in the round on the 14th hole.

The second round tally came out to an even-par 71. He shot a 5-under par 66 in the first round and enters the weekend nine shots back of 36-hole leader Nicolas Colsaerts.
