Daly Collapses With Injury, Withdraws from Event

John Daly’s second win on the PGA Tour Champions is going to have to wait at least two weeks, and possibly longer after the two-time major champion collapsed and was forced to withdraw on Saturday at the PowerShares QQQ Championship.

GolfChannel.com was able to add a little context to the above video.

John Daly collapsed on the ninth hole at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. and then withdrew after being helped off, unable to put any weight on his injured right leg.

The 51-year-old Day was 4 under at the time he withdrew and right in contention for his second win on the senior tour.

For Daly’s sake, hopefully it isn’t as serious as it appeared.

The senior circuit is in the midst of their season-ending playoffs with the PowerShares acting as the penultimate event. The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is in two weeks at Phoenix Country Club. Daly currently sits in 29th place in the standings and the top-36 make it to Arizona.
