Thomas Makes Hole-In-One, Leads in Mexico

Justin Thomas caught fire on the back nine during the third round of the WGC-Mexico Championship at Club de Golf Chapultepec in Mexico City to take a one-shot lead heading into Sunday. Starting with birdies on 10 and 12, he followed it up with this ridiculous slam-dunk ace on the 232-yard par-3 13th. After a messy bogey on 14, he made up for it with two more birds coming home in 31 en route to a sizzling five-under 66.

Thomas has been red hot since dating back to last October where he successfully defended his crown at the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur and then won twice in Hawaii to start 2017 while joining the 59 club in the process.

He leads a star-studded leaderboard which includes world number one Dustin Johnson who is one back equaling Thomas with his own round of 66 and dropping this absurd eagle:

Tied for third at -10 are Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson, who seemed like he hit it all over Mexico but still somehow managed a three-under 68. Oh, and Jordan Spieth casually posted the round of the tournament bettering the field by three shot on moving day with a competitive round course record eight-under 63. Get ready for a caliente championship Sunday!
