A competitive 36-hole tournament got blown wide open by Si Woo Kim at the Valero Texas Open on Friday.
With six people, including Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler, at 8-under par, Kim played the back nine in 4-under par, which was highlighted by an ace on the par-3 16th hole to open up a four-stroke lead heading into the weekend.
Kim, the 2017 Players Champion, posted 12-under par through two rounds at TPC San Antonio.
Spieth and Fowler headline the group in second place, while Graeme McDowell and Jhonnatan Vegas are among those six shots back.
