If Matt Kuchar makes an ace while most of the world is sleeping does it still count? Absolutely, it does. The Olympic bronze medalist found the bottom of the cup on the par-3 17th hole from 212 yards out.
The hole-in-one bumped Kuchar to 9-under par and a tie for eighth place, eight shots back of 54-hole leader Hideki Matsuyama. Matsuyama will carry a three-stroke lead into Sunday’s final round at the HSBC Champions in Shanghai.
