Leishman Charges To Win CIMB In Record Fashion

Marc Leishman claimed his fourth PGA Tour victory on Sunday in Malaysia thanks to a 7-under par final round that tied the tournament course record at 26-under par and matched Justin Thomas’ record for margin of victory (five strokes).

Leishman’s day started off with four birdies in his first five holes, which led to a 5-under par 31 on the front. From there, the big Aussie played the back-nine in 2-under par, a comfortable stroll around TPC Kuala Lumpur to beat 54-hole leader Bronson Burgoon, Chesson Hadley and Emiliano Grillo by five strokes.

Leishman finished in style, rolling in a 12-foot birdie putt to put an exclamation point on his day.

The PGA Tour continues its Asian Swing as many in the 78-man field will head to Korea for next week’s CJ Cup.
