The arrest of Krista Glover, the wife of PGA Tour and former U.S. Open champion Lucas Glover, shocked the golf world after the police report indicated it started after her husband’s poor play at The Players Championship. On Wednesday, TMZ obtained audio of the 911 call that initiated the police being called to the home.
Krista called 911 and accused Lucas’ mother, Hershey, of assaulting her. The 911 recording sheds even more detail on the arrest and explosive domestic incident.
“I’ve been attacked by my mother-in-law,” Krista told the 911 operator.
Lucas Glover spoke with the operator a short time later and said that his wife was lying.
“She’s trying to blame it on my mother, which is not the case at all,” Lucas said. “My wife has gone crazy.”
The operator told Lucas that police were on the way and the former U.S. Open champion pleaded with the dispatcher that it was not necessary. Police, after taking statements from all parties, eventually arrested Krista for assault.
Krista had been drinking all day and, according to Glover, and berated him about his performance earlier in the day at The Players Championship. That started an evening that led to an argument, an alleged assault and a night in jail for the mother of two.
