Miller Making Return To Golf In Podcast Form

We’re only four months removed from Johnny Miller’s exit from the golf commentary booth, but old habits die hard.

Callaway Golf announced on Wednesday that the company has signed the former major champion and NBC analyst to a brand ambassador deal that will return Miller’s unique brand of golf commentary to the world of professional golf.

“I am proud to be returning to Callaway and working with the company’s incredible team on some exciting new projects,” Miller said. “I’ve had so many great experiences with the company, from playing their equipment to working with Mr. Callaway and so many amazing people over the years. It feels like a homecoming for me, and I think golf fans will really enjoy what we have coming, starting with our new Real Golf Talk podcast.”

The Real Golf Talk podcast is the big kicker for Miller fans. His unique view and spin on the professional game will return with his podcast slated to run six times this season with eight episodes per year down the line.

The podcast will be co-hosted by Chris Harrison, an avid golfer and host of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

“Johnny Miller was a legend on the course and in the TV booth there was no equal,” Harrison said via Callaway’s announcement. “I know he’s got more to say on the world of golf and the world in general. There’s no chance I’m missing the opportunity to sit next to him.”

The podcast, which launched on May 22, is available on iTunes, SoundCloud and other podcast outlets. The first episode deals in particular with Brooks Koepka’s latest major victory at the PGA Championship.

Titled “Sleeping on the Lead & the Mindset of a Major Champion,” Miller discusses his own experiences and his views on Koepka’s surge to the top of the golf world.
