Bryson DeChambeau has been arguably the best golfer on the planet over the past two weeks beating world-class fields at the first two stops of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
However, en route to his second straight win last week at the Dell Technologies Championship, NBC cameras caught the four-time Tour winner asking his caddie, Tim Tucker, for “some scrub.”

“How many guys have that on their bag on the pro Tour?” Gary Koch asked. “A little brush to clean the grooves.”
“Most guys who carry one of those can’t break 100,” Johnny Miller added.
“Next thing we know, he’ll use a ball washer out here,” Dan Hicks concluded.
Naturally, social media lit up at the perceived slight of not only DeChambeau’s employment of the groove brush, but also that of many amateurs at home watching.
Don't you realize that majority of #NBC golf viewers are high handicap amateur golfers who are tuned in every tourney who love the game?Your color on

Love the @NBCGolf guys giving @b_dechambeau crap for using a brush on his irons. “Next thing you know he’s going to use a ball washer.” Really appealing to the everyday golfer there, guys ? Last time I checked, he’s kicking everyone’s butt ?? #DellTechChamp

Johnny Miller just dogged Bryson DeChambeau for having a club brush. He said most guys who carry one of those couldn't break 100. I broke 100 twice last w/end, thank you.
