Tiger Woods was spotted getting in some prep work at Bethpage State Park’s Black Course on Wednesday in anticipation of next week’s PGA Championship, but he truly received his New York welcome as he crossed the street heading to the 15th tee.
Intrepid golf fan Tom Niemczyk took it upon himself to do some recon on Wednesday and he found himself face to face with Woods as he headed to the last few holes of the course.

“Greatest athlete ever, right?” Niemczyk said to a few fellow bystanders as Woods made his way down the hill from the 14th green. “Most dominant in his sport, right here.”
As Woods waited for traffic to clear, a car stopped and let him cross while Niemczyk began his impassioned greeting.
“Tiger, we love you, man,” he said. “Absolutely love you, bud. You’re the best ever. What a pleasure, man. You’re the best, brother.”
English Tour pro Eddie Pepperell couldn’t let the opportunity pass him by to make light of the video, sharing a joke that Tiger needed to get run off the road so the rest of the field would have a chance next week.
Probably run him over so the rest of us have a chance

Niemczyk shared a few more videos from his time spent near Bethpage Black, which included Woods teeing off on the 15th hole and Phil Mickelson working on his short game on the 16th green.
The PGA Championship gets underway on Thursday, May 16th. Woods, who won the Masters last month, will tee off in the first round alongside the other most recent major champions, Brooks Koepka, the defending PGA Champion, and Francesco Molinari, winner of the Open Championship at Carnoustie.
