As far as viral marketing campaigns go, Audemars Piguet did a pretty good job.
The luxury watch brand corralled ambassadors Ian Poulter, Andrew “Beef” Johnston, Wesley Bryan, Xander Schauffele, Tyrrell Hatton, Emiliano Grillo, Peter Uihlein and Patrick Cantlay in New York City and took the pros to the top of a building to hit glow-in-the-dark golf balls into a net suspended above the Hudson River with the Manhattan skyline as the backdrop.
Dubbed the “Manhattan Masters,” each player hit their color-coordinated ball to the net, which was being held up by drones, at 50 yards, 150 yards and 200 yards. Not only is the scene jaw-dropping, but these guys’ abilities to hit multiple balls to a “floating green” is next-level impressive.
