How many times have you been watching golf on television, see a name pop up on the leaderboard and think to yourself, ”Where did that person come from?!” The beauty of elite-level amateur golf is that the world is taking notice of the stars of tomorrow before they’re holding up trophies on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
You’ll get the opportunity to be introduced to six of those up-and-coming stars tonight on Golf Channel at 7 p.m. EST in the PXG College Golf Showcase, of which SwingU is an official sponsor. What’s more, NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis and actor/comedian Rob Riggle will captain the three-person teams around Scottsdale National Golf Club.
With all due respect to The Match series, a live televised event can miss the mark as conversation and action lag, which is why the PXG College Golf Showcase was shot last month and packaged for primetime television in an action-packed two-hour presentation.
Mark your calendars for the 2021 #PXG @cgolfshowcase on December 15 from 7-9 pm EST on @golfchannel. $1,000,000 is on the line to benefit @semperfifund and @mountsinainyc‘s Center for Psychedelic Psychotherapy and Trauma Research.#pxgcollegeshowcase #MtSinai #SemperFiFund pic.twitter.com/6N4qVD7EAL

Featuring six elite collegiate golfers — Gina Kim (Duke University), Brooke Matthews (University of Arkansas), RJ Manke (University of Washington); Logan McAllister (University of Oklahoma); Noah Goodwin (Southern Methodist University) and Eugenio Chacarra (Oklahoma State University) — and benefitting a pair of military-focused foundations, the PXG College Golf Showcase will be two of the best hours you spend watching golf all month.
The 18-hole match, played over two different courses under unique playing formats will on Golf Channel tonight, Dec. 15 from 7-9 p.m. EST and again Dec. 18 from 12-2 p.m. EST.
