Patrick Reed was none too pleased with the PGA Tour on Wednesday night as the reigning Masters Champion took his wife and sister-in-law to the Boston Red Sox vs. Miami Marlins game ahead of this week’s second FedEx Cup Playoffs event, the Dell Technologies Championship held at TPC Boston.
Why Do Fans Hate Patrick Reed?
A handful of PGA Tour players have been in attendance at Red Sox games this week and most posted to social media thanking the Tour for their hospitality and generosity, but Reed had a different message for the Tour brass.

“Thank you @pgatour for the tickets to the @RedSox game tonight,” he posted on Twitter and Instagram. “I love how you put my wife, sister-in-law and myself in the line drive section. We paid $650 and ended up in the same section as the rest of the PGA TOUR! #frontrow.”
Reed clarified what could be a difficult-to-decipher second sentence.
“We paid $650 to upgrade (our seats) and ended up with everyone else on the PGA Tour #shocker,” he wrote.
Reed, who sits in 12th place in the FedEx Cup standings will tee off in the Dell Technologies Championship on Friday at 1:40 p.m. alongside Phil Mickelson and Patrick Cantlay.
