Reed’s Wife Fends Off Husband’s Detractors

Patrick Reed and his wife, Justine, are polarizing figures on the PGA Tour.

The 2018 Masters champion has turned slights — whether they are real or perceived — into motivation for the better part of the past decade. Now, having the worst team competition of his career, Reed has come under fire, and his wife has not taken kindly to the criticism.

Responding to a thread of replies of a U.S. Ryder Cup account tweet, Justine gave the Reed perspective on the break up of the Jordan Spieth-Reed super-team, seemingly placing blame on the three-time major champion.

The “joke” Justine is referencing goes back to the Arnold Palmer Invitational where Reed, who was angling for a free drop, invoked Spieth’s name as a double standard when it comes to rulings.

Justine also let loose on social media over a myriad of topics on Saturday evening including Tiger Woods coming up short at the Open Championship, the objectivity of GolfChannel.com’s editor and Reed’s schedule.
