Professional golfers knocking drones out of the sky is expensive, but it’s nothing new. See Patrick Reed as an example. However, the folks at TaylorMade Golf Europe added an extra bit of incentive. They took the liberty of adding insulting, personalized messages and attached them to the bottom.
Sergio Garcia was lucky enough to be the first of hopefully many contestants of this “mean” drone experiment. The jabs ranged from “Forca Barcelona” because Sergio is a massive Real Madrid fan, “Second again?!” and the always classic “Sergio Sucks!” He had 50 balls to knock them all out of the sky, and was up to the task.
As it turns out, the Spaniard went on to win the European Tour’s Dubai Desert Classic last week, which moved him back inside the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking. Judging by this tweet, maybe he used this little drone practice session as motivation?
This was a lot of fun and much more difficult than it looks! Thanks @TaylorMadeTour for a great afternoon and sorry about the drones, NOT!? https://t.co/sCL5j79tnO

Probably not, but it’s fun to imagine if he did!
