A small club company started over 30 years ago has taken the golf world by storm with their highly regarded and reasonably priced golf clubs.
David Glod, founder of Tour Edge, built his company from the ground up backed by years of experience as a competitive golfer. Glod played collegiate golf at Florida Southern College alongside PGA Tour winners Rocco Mediate and Lee Janzen, and even turned pro himself before realizing his passion was in creating his own line of clubs.
Tour Edge has been a reliable and consistent equipment brand on Tour and in homes for decades. Glod attributes the company’s more recent commercial success to finding areas of opportunity within the industry.
“Over the last three years, we refocused our energies and added some key executives to create a growth strategy. We saw a latent demand for more price-sensitive product in the market place.”
As of the end of the 2018 golf season, Tour Edge had seen 12 wins, 50 top-fives and 85 top-tens among the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions, and Web.com Tours.
Tour Edge has seen great success with marketing efforts focused on the PGA Tour Champions.

“The Champions Tour Players have always loved Exotics products and they are easier to work with then the PGA Tour because contracts are more open to adding other brands clubs to the bag,” Glod said. “We are a great fit to players’ bags on the Champions because our Exotics give these players more distance gain opportunities.”
Players such as K.J. Choi, David Duval, Matt Kuchar, Brian Gay, Luke Donald, Ryan Moore and Zach Johnson have trusted Tour Edge with providing them PGA Tour-worthy equipment during their careers.
Aside from getting into Tour pros’ bags, Tour Edge has upped their game on the consumer side, with both premium and more affordable lines of clubs. This strategy has changed over the years to coincide with the evolving economy.
“Recently, prices of clubs have increased almost two-fold due to a lot of economic reasons, so we are capitalizing on what we do best: state-of-the-art, great-performing equipment at a reasonable price,” Glod says.
Tour Edge offers clubs for women and juniors as well as options for customization in fit.
