Tiger Woods was on the grounds at the site of next week’s PGA Championship on Wednesday, taking a look around the property at which he won his second U.S. Open title in 2002.
Woods brought Bethpage State Park’s Black Course to its knees in ’02, shooting the only score under par for the week and winning by three strokes over Phil Mickelson.

Woods was spotted practicing alongside his caddie, Joe LaCava, on the par-3 third hole. Barstool Sports’ Sam “Riggs” Bozoian tweeted video of him teeing off on the hole, reporting that Woods hit two shots close, including one to seven feet from the hole.
Per my sources, the Masters champ is at Bethpage and looking GOOD. Stuck both shots on the long par three 3rd, one to 7 feet. Grand slam alert @FrankieDeLuca_ pic.twitter.com/LxeZSL38nK

Aside from Woods’ win at Bethpage in 2002, he finished in tied for 6th in the rain-soaked 2009 PGA at the Black. He’s never won the Masters and the PGA Championship in the same season, but he did win the first major of the year and a major at Bethpage in ’02.
Woods’ yacht, Privacy, has been docked in a nearby marina over the last two weeks.
